1 June 2021, LONDON: PassFort, the SaaS RegTech provider automating financial crime and compliance processes, has announced two significant senior hires from the worlds of FinTech and compliance to deliver the next stage of its global growth plans.
Former Chief Commercial Officer at ComplyAdvantage, Ray Ryan, and Valitor’s former CMO & Managing Director, UK & Ireland, Dr. Christine Bailey, joined PassFort to strengthen its sales and marketing functions.
These big hitters reflect ambitious growth plans for the RegTech provider who has already seen a rapid increase in demand for its onboarding and ongoing risk monitoring solutions over the past 18 months.
Ray Ryan has extensive experience in revenue generation and brand development in the world of RegTech. He helped take ComplyAdvantage from a 5-person start-up to the multi-million-pound business it is today. As PassFort’s new Chief Revenue Officer, Ray will capitalise on PassFort’s well established footprint and help the company realise its ambitions as a global leader in the RegTech category.
Christine Bailey joined PassFort as Chief Marketing Officer from her own consultancy, Sophia Marketing. Bringing clarity on category definition, marketing strategy, messaging and a knowledge of the world of payments/FinTech to the table, Christine is helping PassFort define the next wave of RegTech and build a scalable revenue marketing engine to bring the platform to a global audience.
Commenting on these strategic hires, Donald Gillies, PassFort’s CEO, said: “With the explosion of digital financial services, we have a strong pipeline of new clients for the second half of 2021 and are keen to continue building our capacity to serve even more customers in 2022.”
Donald added: “Ray and Christine are established operators and bring a wealth of skills and experience to the PassFort leadership team. They are well versed in building brands and in helping colleagues and customers be successful. Culturally, they are a perfect fit for PassFort – incredibly ambitious and willing to break new ground. I‘m delighted they’ve joined us on this journey in establishing PassFort as a global leader in RegTech.”
Ray said in response to his appointment: “I can’t wait to get started with PassFort. I’ve often been in a position where the product needs to be established and launched from the ground up. That’s not the case with PassFort. It already has great solutions, an amazing client base and unique technology to orchestra automated compliance processes. I’m looking forward to building the brand and creating more awareness of what PassFort has to offer.”
Christine said: “I’m relishing the opportunity to create a new category for PassFort that is different – not just better – especially where the company design and product design are in alignment. RegTech has the potential to revolutionise the compliance function in the same way MarTech revolutionised marketing and that lights up my marketing heart. I also love the people and company culture at PassFort and the flexibility of working in a remote-first, portfolio way.”
